Remebering the life of Maryann Medeiros
Donation protected
Today March 21, 2020 at 10:15AM we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend to many Maryann (Alves) Medeiros. She was 68 years old.
Mom spent her life putting everyone's needs before her own , and it is at this point that we humbly ask for your help in our time of need in order to give her the proper service and burial that she deserves.
Mom never had much except her family, her old records and memoribilia of times we spent together. She spent the last few years of her life fighting various diseases and infections, defeating cancer, having various procedures done, taking pills everyday, entering in and out of the hospital and was on oxygen 24/7 because of Stage 4 COPD.
Even through all of this she still found it in her heart to gather all her strength to attend her grandsons diabetes walk October 2019, visit my sister Allison's House to help clean and do laundry, help me peel potatoes for my friendsgiving 2019, and even help her sick hospital roomate when she wasnt at 100%, among so many other things.
Even when she was physically unable to take care of herself she always kept her kids and grandkids best interests in mind, wishing us safety and warmth.
She took a turn for the worse beginning of January 2020, and after a long stint in and out of different hospitals and rehab centers having major difficulty breathing, developing bedsores and wounds, today , she is finally at peace.
We appreciate any and all contributions during this tough time we are all facing, and promise all of what is raised will be used to make sure we honor Mom's life in the best way possible, just how she wanted. Viewing service arrangements are being made to be held at Buyus Funeral Home in Newark, burial to be followed at Holy Cross cemetery in North Arlington where she will be buried with her first born Daughter, Antionette Alves who passed when she was 14 years of a brain aneurism. Date and time TBD.

Please share this with your friends, family, or anyone who knows or was touched by Mom, myself, Jennifer, or Allison. We would not be the people we are without her loving influence.
Thank you, God bless you all.
