Hi, my name is Atiya, and I'm raising funds for my co-worker and friend, Rodney Morton. Rodney is currently an RN with many years of service helping to heal patients from all walks of life. Through the years, his efforts to offer superior care to his patients and stellar support to healthcare providers has improved the lives of all those who've crossed his path. Rodney is a compassionate, intelligent, higly skilled, community servant that consistently goes the extra mile for others. The irony in Rodney's story is that while caring for others, for nearly 30 years, he has endured his own health crisis. He was born with a congenital condition that damages the liver, and is potentially fatal without a liver transplant. After countless hospital admissions, testing, bouts of severe illness, and at some points almost losing his life, Rodney was blessed to have a liver transplant, for which he inmmeasurabley grateful. However, the financial burden of medical bills, time away from work, and the cost of living has presented new challenges and an incredible amount of stress. I am starting this GoFundMe for Rodney because those who "help", also need to be helped.
