Hurricane Otis pounded Acapulco, in the southern state of Guerrero MEXICO, with winds of 165mph (266 km/h) on Wednesday, flooding the city, tearing roofs from homes, stores, and hotels, submerging vehicles, and severing communications as well as road and air connections.

Two Remax offices have been literally destroyed, with more than 50 families being impacted and trying to survive. Despite this, our Mexican colleague agents are doing what we always do, showing leadership in their communities to provide food and shelter. A long road awaits to begin the reconstruction and return to normal life in our beloved Acapulco. This is the defining moment where we demonstrate that we are one big global family, and together we are stronger.

Looting has continued and residents in hard-hit neighborhoods, struggling to find food and water, your love, prayers and money will be delivered directly to our Brokers and agents to help get them back on their feet as soon as possible.
