My name is Stephanie. Along with my partner Jake, our son Kyan, and our beloved dogs Denna & Portia, we faced a life-altering event. On March 18, 2024, a devastating fire claimed our home of six years.

In the aftermath, the generosity of friends, family, and the Red Cross helped cover temporary housing for the first couple of weeks. While renting local Airbnbs has provided much-needed stability, the cost has been substantial. As our regular bills also continue to mount our financial situation has become insurmountable- just as we're on the brink of a new chapter.

We've found a new home—a cozy 2-bedroom duplex in Northeast Minneapolis, ready to welcome us on June 1st. It's the perfect sanctuary for our family to heal and rebuild.

However the costs of moving loom large: first month's rent, security deposit, moving expenses, and the daunting task of replacing everything from toiletries to furniture. Friends, we are barely scraping by so we humbly ask for your support. The money received thus far covered our shelter expenses for a few weeks. Going forward, your donations will cover the initial expenses of the move and help replace what we lost to the flames.
