Hi. My name is Larelle and on 10th of April I will be moving to Newcastle to participate in a Discipleship Training School course (DTS) run by Youth with a Mission (YWAM). YWAM is an organisation that engages with youth to know Christ and make Him known.

The DTS I will be doing has a focus on compassion and media; which is important to me as it fits perfectly with my skills and passions. I am a graphic designer and have spent the last 5 years studying to have a bachelor of graphic design. I want to learn how to use my skills in design and media to serve God's kingdom, with an emphasis on christian compassion.

At the end of the course I will have earned a certificate in Christian missions; and as part of completing it I'll be travelling overseas to (as yet) unknown locations which is very exciting and scary.
I'll be staying in a share housing whilst in Newcastle and will be doing full time study (44 hours a week).

I won't be getting paid anything. Everyone who works and studies at YWAM are there without getting paid or earning money. I need help raising the money I need both for the course but also for the travel costs and outreach overseas.

I know God has awesome plans he wants to use me for; and I want to be well equipped to serve Him in this way. This course will help me further my skills and place me with an even better understanding of what God has planned for me. I see this DTS as being a stepping stone rather than the end goal. I feel called to long term mission but dont know how/when/where etc. I pray that in 6 months time, when I'm finishing up my DTS that I will have a much better idea of what God's mission will mean for me in the future.
