We are raising precious funds for our daughter Talya who has incurred a large student loan debt from going to nursing school. Being straddled with student loans to help people is wrong. The interest on the private loan is gigantic and upsetting. The hamster wheel that our daughter is on, trying to live in the very expensive SF Bay Area while paying off this big loan is sad to witness. She came back to San Francisco after nursing school in Seattle to give back to her beloved city where she was born and raised.She grew up seeing so many needy un-cared for people and this motivated her to go to nursing school to help make people's lives better. She has worked for a year and a half at General Hospital in the medical surgical trauma unit from 7pm-7am and is now training to work serving the most vulnerable of our city in the Navigation shelter health system. The clinic helps limit barriers to direct access to healthcare for so many. For example, these clinics help un-housed pregnant women, saving lives from overdoses, helping a lot of seniors with wounds or mobility issues. reduces 911 calls, and saves precious lives from overdoses. She is passionate about this lifesaving work. She has never shied away from financial challenges, but she needs some assistance at this time so she can continue to provide her community with excellent medical care. She is expecting her first child soon and it would be so generous of our loving community to help rid her of this awful burden.
