Relief & Recovery Support for Matt and Jenny Duke

Hi! My name is Abby and I’m raising funds to support my mom and stepdad as they navigate the aftermath of a tornado that devastated their home on 6/19/2025.

If you know my mom, you know she’s dedicated the majority of her life and career to helping others through natural disasters in her relief and recovery work. Both she and my stepdad, who is a nurse helping children and families navigate complex childhood diseases, spend their lives helping others and now they could really use kindness and support as they navigate the loss of their home and livelihood.

Any funds raised will help supplement the unforeseen expenses of temporary housing, food, necessities, pet supplies for their three furry family members (Mercury, Saturn, and Wilson), and immediate efforts to salvage the remaining structure of their home and belongings.

While the sentimental things cannot be replaced, we are grateful they were able to get to the basement (with both cats and dog in tow) once the warning was issued.

Update: thank you all for the thoughts, love and kindness shown their way over the past two days. Major progress was made yesterday and the massive tree that fell through two floors of their home will be removed today. From there, they’ll assess the structure and (if safe) begin the clean up, framing/tarping, and rebuilding process. The specific ask is to keep them in your hearts, thoughts and prayers while they navigate this process. They’ll be in temp housing for a while, but they’re safe.
