♥️ Hello Lovely People. My name is Sarah. I'm writing this on behalf of myself, my sisters and our Dad.
♥️ 5 years ago, our Mother, Tricia Ann Ostrye Burbey, was diagnosed with cancer. She worked hard every single day to kick cancer's ass. She was a stubborn one, convinced this stupid, awful disease wouldn't be the thing to take her down. I wish she had been right. Cancer destroyed our Mom and made her suffer in painful, horrible ways that no one should ever have to endure...and our Dad was there every step of the way, helping her in whatever capacity she needed. She was his person and he was hers. They just celebrated their 42nd Anniversary.
♥️ She lost her battle with cancer last Friday, May 28, 2021. She took her final breath at home, in her bed with our Dad and her dog, Skywalker close by. This is exactly how she wanted it to be. She is finally with the Lord, running around up there, pain free with all of our animals.
♥️ Our Dad, David Burbey, quit his job 2 months ago so that he could be with her full time and take and care of her in her final days. He did SUCH an amazing job of making her feel loved and cherished. She didn't die doubting his commitment. He proved his love day after day after day.
♥️ Her Memorial will be on Saturday, June 12th at 1pm. It will be held at River Rock Church in Colorado Springs Colorado.

Flowers and cards are appreciated of course and we are grateful for them, but what he needs most right now is the opportunity to grieve and mourn his Lady without rushing back to work to get the bills paid. My sisters and I are doing everything we can to give him that opportunity. Will you help us?
