Urgent Appeal: Gaza Evacuation for Assia's Family

Hello, I am Tasneem Abu Lamdi from Gaza. I am married and have a 7-month-old daughter named Asia.

Our Story

The war began when my daughter Asia was just three months old. She grew up amidst the horrors of bombing and the terrifying sounds of rockets. We were displaced from our home and had to live in a tent after the house next to ours was bombed. On that dreadful night, our house was completely damaged, and my daughter Asia, who was only four months old, suffered from the shock of the explosions and their intensity.

I dreamed that Asia would grow up in a better environment than what she experienced. She needs special care, but due to the lack of basic necessities and the absence of healthy food and proper nutrition, fulfilling this dream has become difficult. My dreams faded along with my home. My husband aspired to continue his programming career abroad in better fields, but his laptop was damaged. Now, he is jobless due to the lack of electricity and a laptop for work.

Our Needs

I am here to ask for help and support for my family. Obtaining food and medicine has become difficult and expensive. Milk for my daughter Asia is very costly. We are also living with my parents and sisters, two of their children, and my sister, who is nine months pregnant. We are registered to evacuate to Egypt soon and will need funds for travel, food, and to secure my family's needs after we leave. I also have four brothers staying in Gaza, the youngest of whom is 12 years old.

We also wish to travel to Canada and apply for asylum there due to the unavailability of Egyptian residency for Palestinians leaving Gaza amidst the war. Additionally, please consider the costs of visa and immigration fees to Canada, airfare, and unforeseen expenses.

After exhausting all available options, it seems that collecting donations is the only way to help me, my husband, and my daughter secure a safe place and a decent living. Our friend in Belgium is responsible for collecting donations and sending them to us directly.
