Jeff was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, March 23, 2024, as he had a high fever and pain under his right rib cage, and it was hard for him to breathe. X-rays confirmed he had a severe infection in his right lung from pneumonia. Jeff was put on a ten-day IV of antibiotics in hopes the infection would go down. After a few days, the fevers did not stop, and the infection had worsened. He underwent a needle to the right lung, which assisted with sucking out the infection, again a few days later. Another x-ray confirmed the infection was not clearing up, and they decided to place a tube in his lung to drain the infection. This is a very invasive procedure and will take days of suction and monitoring.
