Last week, Ms. Wiggins (77) came home from work, cooked dinner and went to her room. As she was in her room, she started seeing smoke come up from the floor then on the side of her bed. She went into the bathroom, got a bucket, filled it with water, brought it to the smoke and poured the water over it. She walked back to put the bucket away and when she returned to her room, the whole room was engulfed with smoke. Fortunately she had her phone in her pocket, so she headed towards her front door but turned around to see flames all over her bedroom and coming towards the living room. She dialed 911 and the fire department came swiftly. This 77 year old great grandmother is an independent firehouse, she still goes to work every single day and and loves her freedom.
