Relief fund for Jessika and Natalie Montgomery
On May 9th, 2020 Joe Montgomery was urged by his daughters Natalie and Jessika and his significant other, Marilyn, to go to the Emergency Room in fear he had contracted COVID19. Upon arrival at Dublin Methodist Hopsital, Joe tested negative for Coronavirus and was admitted to an ICU floor for medical treatment. His condition continued to worsen and he was transferred on May 18th to a larger, neighboring hospital to perform additional testing and treatment.
During his stay at Riverside Methodist Hospital, he was intubated in order to perform a biopsy in hopes of finding a diagnosis. His condition continued to decline and the biopsy was unable to be performed. Additional life support was administered in the form of ECMO.
June 1st, Joe was then life-lined to Cleveland Clinic after all treatment options were exhausted at Riverside Methodist. Joe remains at Cleveland clinic on ECMO life support. His care team is still working diligently to find a diagnosis and offering any and all treatment they deem necessary. The future is uncertain.
During this time, Natalie and Jessika have been managing all medical & financial decision making responsibilities as Joes proxies and advocates. It has been difficult to manage every day life during a pandemic coupled with the unexpected trials of having a loved one in the hospital.
I am asking for donations on their behalf in order to alleviate the financial burden of travel to Ohio, where Joe is located, from Indianapolis, managing his estate, and taking unpaid time off of work. Any donations will also allow them more opportunity to dedicate time to focus on treatment and continue working with his healthcare team, without adding additional financial stress on the girls. I want them to have the option to dedicate as much time and energy as they can to focus on their father.
Jessika has taken time away from social media but has given me access to her accounts in order to alleviate added anxiety. I will forward any messages to her. Both girls are appreciative of everyone’s support and concern. Please keep them in your thoughts, prayers, Duas and send all ofthe good vibes while they continue to fight for Joes recovery.
Thank you in advance for any donations during this trying time.
