Please consider helping my daughter, Gretchen. Gretchen’s continuing illness and recent surgery has left her entirely unable to work and nearly bedridden for at least the next month. Gretchen is posting an update on Facebook that will explain her current situation. The stress, hopelessness and financial hardship on “Bird” is more than my strong, independent and fircely proud daughter can handle. Any monies raised will go immediately towards basic necessities such as FOOD, limited toiletries, cell phone bill (Gretchen does NOT have a computer and her old iPhone is her lifeline to the outside world), medical co-payments and uncovered prescriptions. I am assisting with all larger expenses i.e. rent, utilities but she has absolutely NO income/revenue at this point. Gretchen has closed her alteration business. Sewing is no longer an option as physically, she cannot sit at her sewing machine. With regard to Gretchen’s “Mt. Everest” of unpaid, uncovered medical expenses, she is applying for every means of governmental and private grant monies/funds, SS Disability, food assistance she can find.
