Hi, my name is Hema. On the night of 2/12, 8 members of my family were killed by an Isr*eli b*mb as they were sleeping in Rafah. They moved 7 times since Oct. 7th in hopes of avoiding the conflict and ended up in Rafah as it was deemed the "safe zone". That was clearly not the case as my uncle Fawzi, his wife Suzan, his two sons Hamoud and Karam, Karam's wife Amouna, and Karam & Amouna's 3 children (Sidra, Susan, and Malik) were all killed. Fawzi's 3rd son, Ibrahim, was the only survivor of the strike as he was not at home at the time. He returned after hearing the strikes and was faced with rubble he had to dig through and bodies he had to identify. The initial funds we were raising were to help rebuilding efforts after the war was over via the help of Fawzi who is an engineer. This war has lasted longer than we ever hoped and taken thousands of lives with it. The new goal of these funds is to help my cousin Ibrahim and support his efforts to provide food, water, and clothes to those around him.
