Relief Fund for College Student Experiencing Homelessness

I am a 20 year old student at Appalachian State University who currently has little to no family to help with the cost of living or anything, really. I don’t have any housing at the moment, I do not have a job at this moment. I am actively looking for work, and so is my husband who lives in my car with me. Over 600 applications filled out by the both of us and only two have been viewed. That’s nearly 1200 applications between the two of us, even to really basic jobs and all of them have been thrown out. I need something because my car is getting really old, has over 200k miles and needs replacements for so many things. I cannot afford to eat most days now, and if my car stops running, I won’t even have a place to sleep at night anymore. I have effectively lost both full ride scholarships I had to go to App State because I was unable to sign up for FAFSA in time. I had to pawn my laptop off in a pinch for a car repair and insurance and was unable to get it back in time to fill out FAFSA before the priority deadline… so I lost both of my scholarships as far as I am aware of right now. I do not even have anyone to call at night to talk to about my daily troubles. No one, except a few close friends. I owe friends money I’ve borrowed so much that it’s quite sad. In the last month alone, I’ve lost over 50 pounds and weight is still melting off of me. I am not okay in my health as is, with a heart condition, possible liver condition, blood disorder that may just be cancer, and if that wasn’t enough, was just recently diagnosed with lupus. I am dying and homeless and need anyone’s compassion. Anyone. I just need time and some support to get back on my feet. Just a little nudge is all I need, and a stable job outside of just Walmart deliveries and DoorDash, which is effective murdering my car and only means of living I have right now (which, believe it or not, is illegal in NC!
