Hi, my name is Arianna, and I’m creating this fundraiser with my sister for our sweet mamma.

Our mom is a hardworking postal worker who works full-time and often puts in overtime to provide for her family. Right now, she is facing an incredibly difficult time. She had to take an indefinite leave from work to care for her mother, my grandma, who is in hospice and nearing the end of her life. This has left her with no income during an already overwhelming and emotional season.

In addition to the demands of caregiving, my mom is dealing with several unexpected hardships. My grandma’s passing will come with end-of-life expenses, as well as costs associated with her home and estate — things that must be handled to honor her life properly. On top of this, my mom’s car was badly damaged in an accident today. The person who hit her has no insurance, and we only had minimal coverage on the car. Right now, there’s no way to fix or replace it, which adds even more stress while she’s trying to focus on her family and grieving.

This fundraiser is meant to help cover:

• End-of-life expenses for my grandma 

• Costs related to my grandma’s house and estate & home equity loan (much more than what the GFM would cover but felt like this amount was a good start ) 

• My mom’s car repair or replacement (has to pay out of pocket because driver is without insurance and mom has partial coverage) 

• Essential living expenses while she is off work (home bills and groceries) 

My mom has always been the person who shows up for everyone else — giving tirelessly to her family and community. Now, she needs support to get through this moment and to be able to grieve while taking care of her family. Any donation, no matter the amount, or sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.
