The statewide Coronavirus closures in Washington have made for some serious challenges for people in our community, particularly Workshop Instructors.

Our 26 Workshop Instructors bill for $35,000 each month, and many of them count on Edmonds Heights for their primary income.

Workshop Instructors offer classes to our students on a contract basis. Though they are not employees of the district, they are key people in the Edmonds Heights community. They teach Musical Theatre, Martial Arts, Art, Music and Science, among other passions. Due to school closures, our Workshop Instructors cannot offer services for which they can invoice. They are not being paid as school employees are.

This relief fund is set up by Edmonds Heights community members to support our Workshop Instructors during this time. Generating $55,000 will get funds to them that they would have counted on through April. If further relief funds are needed as a result of prolonged school closures, we will reassess our fundraising goals accordingly. All fundraising proceeds will go directly to our Workshop Instructors.
