Zarif has been in the hospital in critical care since 9/8/2018.  He got into an argument with 3 males who didn't want to pay for items they took.  He was able to get $1 from them. As he turned around to go back to the counter, he passed out due to an underlying medical condition.  One of the men then took the dollar from his hand, jumped the counter to grab some cigarettes, and ran out the door - all of them leaving him to die.

2 of them came back inside two additional times to steal more cigarettes and to take the money inside the register.  They had to step over his body to make it behind the counter.  They were smiling while they did all of this.

He was unconscious and not breathing for several minutes before another customer found him and began performing CPR.  They called 911 and stayed with him until police and paramedics arrived.

Zarif has 3 small children at home, his wife is a stay-at-home mom.  He will not be able to return to work for an unknown period of time.  His family will need help with money for food, rent and the medical bills.

My name is Jenn, and I work with Zarif.  I decided to set this site up because many people were wanting to help, and asking how they could.  All of the donations received will be used to pay for his medical bills, and/or to help his wife and their three children with their living expenses.  Zarif was the sole provider for the family, so they are facing financial hardships.  Our hope is that Zarif will wake up soon, and be able to hear about the love, support and prayers he and his family received throughout this difficult time.
