Relief for Trader Joes Employees in Philly
Donation protected
Grocery employees are essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, yet Trader Joe's continues to prioritize profits over the health and security of their workers.
Some of our coworkers have been sent home with little or no pay because they have shown symptoms of COVID-19. Some of them are scared to put themselves or their families at risk. Some are immunocompromised and have been out of work for weeks without pay.
Instead of offering sufficient paid sick leave, management has asked employees to donate their earned paid time off to others in financial need.
While our coworkers struggle to afford rent, groceries, and healthcare, Trader Joe’s continues to put profit over people. We should not need a GoFundMe when this company makes billions of dollars a year!
This is an emergency fund, all proceeds go directly to Philadelphia Trader Joe’s employees.
