Hi, my name is Meghan Hart. My husband is Gary and we have a beautiful daughter Sophia, who is 14.

I'm starting this fundraiser to help us with medical and monthly bills. You see back in January 2023 I unexpectedly had to have open heart surgery. Triple bypass surgery to be exact. I'm only 47.

After the surgery I wasn't starting to feel better like I was told I would. I was continuing to have chest pain, shortness of breath, jaw, and left arm pain daily. I returned to the ER twice. They called the cardiothoracic surgeons down both times to only be told it was my anxiety and sent home.

Thankfully my cardiologist listened. He sent me for an echocardiogram and discovered my heart wasn't pumping blood sufficiently. I was immediately scheduled for a cardiac catheterization where it was discovered that all 3 bypasses had closed. Over the course of 2 days 5 stents where placed in 2 of the arteries. While in the 2nd procedure I went into respiratory failure. They decided to wait for the last stent to allow my body and heart time to heal.

I still need another stent and am scheduled for that next Monday.

During all this my husband Gary had a lump in his breast checked. After a CT scan 2 masses where discovered. A 4cm and a 7 cm. He had a biopsy yesterday and goes for a PET scan later this week. He beat lymphoma 10 yrs ago and it is back. He will be at it again.

Since I haven't been able to work since January we have lost 1/2 our income. I will go back to work soon and it will Gary who is out of work getting healed.

We have been blessed with generosity from family and friends but we still need assistance to cover monthly bills like rent, utilities, etc. Otherwise we wouldn't be asking for this.

Any and all assistance is appreciated to alleviate some of the financial stress.
