When Eneida went to see a medical specialist two weeks ago to investigate an on-going stomach issue, she and her family had no idea their world would soon be turned upside down.

After a few months of seeing various doctors to help treat this mysterious stomach discomfort, Eneida decided to go and see a new specialist that had been recommended to her. It was difficult to get an appointment, especially as the COVID-19 crisis raged through Los Angeles. When she finally had her telemedicine consultation, the specialist made an immediate recommendation to go to an Emergency Room for a CT scan. Not an easy or wanted task while COVID filled hospital beds around the county. After the scan, she was immediately admitted to Cedars where they found several growths in her abdomen. After more than a week undergoing a battery of medical tests at the hospital, where her family was unable to visit her due to the pandemic, it was ultimately diagnosed that she has terminal stomach cancer.

Eneida is a wonderful, caring, faithful and determined person. She has built a beautiful family (Abelardo, her husband, and her three children Eneida ("Stephanie "), Keren and Danny) and has been a figure in our community. As a child caretaker and nanny, she has raised several children from newborns - becoming a mother to many. She has helped make sure all of our children grow up feeling loved and taken care of and she has always ensured that they become the best that they can be.


After living in this country for many years after immigrating from Guatemala, a few months ago she became a US permanent resident. A year that should have been celebratory has become the most difficult one yet.

This GoFundMe page is to help provide financial relief to her and her family and help afford them the ability to spend as much time together as they reel from the effects of the cancer. Cuando Eneida fue a ver a un especialista médico hace dos semanas para investigar un problema estomacal, ella y su familia no tenían idea de que su mundo pronto estaría al revés.

Después de unos meses de ver a varios médicos para ayudar a tratar un misterioso malestar estomacal, Eneida decidió ir a ver a un nuevo especialista que le habían recomendado. Después de más de una semana de someterse a muchas pruebas médicas en el hospital, donde su familia no pudo visitarla debido a la pandemia, finalmente se le diagnosticó que tenía cáncer de estómago terminal.

Eneida es una persona maravillosa, cariñosa, fiel y decidida. Ella ha construido una hermosa familia (Abelardo, su esposo y sus tres hijos Eneida ("Stephanie"), Keren y Danny) y ha sido una figura en nuestra comunidad. Como cuidadora de niños y niñera, ha criado a varios hijos de recién nacidos, convirtiéndose en madre para muchos. Ella ha ayudado a asegurarse de que todos nuestros hijos crezcan sintiéndose amados y cuidados y siempre se ha asegurado de que se conviertan en lo mejor que puedan ser.

 Después de vivir en este país durante muchos años después de inmigrar desde Guatemala, hace unos meses se convirtió en residente permanente de los Estados Unidos.
