Hello friends.
I'm not sure how this works and have been contemplating getting involved, but my gut tells me I should try, so here goes.
I'm reaching out to anyone and everyone in an attempt to help with my precious daughter Samantha and wonderful new husband Michael over their recent unexpected medical bills.
They found out they were expecting their first baby at the beginning of March (looking for health insurance); however, right away, she knew something wasn't right. Michael took her to the ER, and she had two ultrasounds and was told she "most likely" miscarried and was sent home. That bill came in at $7800.
She continued having symptoms but thought it was normal, just never feeling okay but also never experiencing any health issues ever. She attributed it to the physical and mental toll of losing their first baby (which, they found out, is so very common).
Three weeks later, she fainted, and Michael called an ambulance, unable to get her to the car. She had all the classic symptoms of internal bleeding, but to Samantha, she thought it was "normal" after a miscarriage.
They immediately gave her fluids and did an ultrasound where they found blood in her abdomen and a mass in her fallopian tube, our baby. She lost both and a liter of blood. She's recovering, but they are now faced with a huge financial burden with no insurance. The thought of the bills rolling in is daunting, and I thought I would reach out to you all, hoping to relieve some of this burden for them. As a mother, to see a child in pain and so close (I can't even write it), if this helps just a little, I am forever grateful.
May God bless all of you and walk with the newlyweds as they navigate this territory together.❤️
