Relief for Purple Monkey Playroom Employees

The mandate for social distancing /shelter-in-place due to Covid-19 has necessitated closing Purple Monkey Playroom's doors for an indefinite amount of time. We have found ourselves in a cash-flow negative position, and earlier in the week made the agonizing decision to lay off our entire team, including management.
Many of our dedicated employees rely on their paychecks from Purple Monkey Playroom as a sole source of income. Several are single parents.
Each of them has tried tirelessly over the past few days to file for unemployment but to no avail. The State of Illinois unemployment website is overloaded and attempts to file by phone have been equally futile.
Since 2012, we have made in-kind donations to every school and 501(3) in Chicago that has ever asked. We are now asking for our community's support to help our cherished team. Each and every dollar raised will go toward helping our employees most in-need.
In exchange, we can offer play credit at Purple Monkey for when we re-open. We are happy to thank you for your generosity by providing five days of drop-in play for a donation of $35 or 10 days of drop-in play for a donation of $75.
