Asking for help like this is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. My husband always worked hard, we handled our responsibilities, and believed that if you show up and do the right thing, things will work out. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case this time.

A week ago we had gotten our account overdrawn by $500, the day after we had gotten paid so about $1,700 was taken from us when we were quoted to pay $300! we immediately called the place that had taken our money and we were told we were getting a full refund. it had been a week since then and because we have a little boy we couldn’t wait any longer so we called again this morning to see how the process of the refund was going, and then we were told that there was no refund coming to us and that they could get us one but that we would only be getting $340 back out of the $1700 that they had taken from us unwillingly! and to top that off we wouldn’t be getting it until next year.

This has caused real stress and sleepless nights, forcing us to worry about basic necessities and obligations we were already managing. It’s painful to realize how quickly stability can disappear when you’re treated unfairly and left with no support.

I’m not asking for sympathy—just a chance to breathe and recover from something that was completely out of my control.
