Relief for Noelle's Heart Surgery & Family

UPDATE:
It is with a very heavy heart that I share the devastating news that Noelle passed away at the age of two months yesterday, August 25, 2025 at 9:15am. Please keep our niece Alyssa, her husband Don, and infant Hanna (Noelle's twin) in your thoughts. Funds will be used to help with the costs of Noelle's care, passing, and support for the Tran family.

My name is Wendy Rincon and I am Alyssa Rincon Tran's aunt. Many of you may know that last fall 2024, Alyssa and her husband Don lost their now Rainbow Baby boy Noah. It was a tragic loss for them and our entire family. So you can imagine everyone's excitement when Alyssa and Don announced that they were pregnant again, this time with TWIN GIRLS!!! The girls were due in July but as twins do, they came early. Alyssa had a caesarian section at the end of June 2025. As late preemies, they are quite small at just over 5 pounds. Alyssa was able to go home with just one of the girls, Hannah.

Baby Noelle has remained in the hospital. Before her birth, they learned that she had some "minor" heart defects. While they were trying to advance an oral feeding tube, it would not advance. She had tracheal-esophageal fistula she has already had surgery for at CHOC. They found that she had a little "pouch" in one of her bronchial tubes that they wanted to take care of during her heart surgery. The surgeon that performs that surgery is at UCLA. So baby Noelle was airlifted to UCLA and Don drove to UCLA to be with her.

On July 1st, after an 8 hour surgery, the doctors were able to get all of the repairs done. She was put on bypass, then ECMO to let her little heart and lungs rest. Don, Alyssa, and Baby Hannah are all staying in a hotel room near UCLA for the next month or so. UCLA does not have the same support for parents that CHOC has. It has been a financial strain. Just to go get diapers or run other errands, Don has had to pay the $55 parking fee every time they leave the lot. On top of paying for a hotel room. Alyssa is healing from her caesarian surgery, taking care of Hannah, and spending time with Noelle in the hospital. Don has been with Noelle everyday as they make sure that at least one parent is with her at all times as much as possible.

The goal of this GoFundMe is to help pay for the hotel room near UCLA, parking fees and incidentals like meals at the hospital. They will also need help with medical expenses as you can imagine this is quite an unexpected financial hit for new parents. We would like to be able to help them have one less worry right now as Noelle remains at UCLA and care for Hannah while not being in their home and living in a hotel room.

Please keep Noelle, Hannah, Alyssa, and Don in your thoughts. Thank you in advance for donating what you can.
