Thank you for being here.
My name is Kimolyn Harris, and I am writing with a heavy heart as I try to help my family and other families from my hometown, Middle Quarters, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, who have lost so much after Hurricane Melissa. Our area, along with nearby communities such as: Point, Lancewood, Bailey Ground, White Hall, and Baptist, were severely affected by this Category 5 storm.
The hurricane left behind heartbreaking devastation. Many homes were destroyed, and families are now struggling to access food, clean water, clothing, and basic hygiene supplies. Seeing the hardship faced by people I know and love, including my own family, has been difficult beyond words.
I am organizing this fundraiser to help my immediate family and other families in and around Middle Quarters get the essentials they need most right now. Contributions will go toward providing:
Food and clean drinking water
Toiletries and hygiene items
Clothing and bedding
For those unable to give financially, there are still meaningful ways to help. You can donate food items, clothing, or other essentials to be packed and shipped to the community, or simply share this campaign to help spread the word.
If you wish to donate physical items such as food, clothing, or supplies, please reach out to me directly through GoFundMe for shipping details.
Every act of kindness, whether a donation, a share, or a box of supplies, brings hope to families trying to recover from this disaster. Your support means more than words can say.
Thank you for showing care and compassion for my family and community. Your kindness is making a real difference.
