As most of you know, I had decompression surgery on July 7, 2023, here at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota. I have been in constant pain since having the surgery since it wasn’t done correctly. I went to get a second opinion at Sanford Health in Fargo, and with their gracious help, they had a referral sent over to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. We went to these appointments and we got lots of helpful information as well as some pretty hard news. My first surgery did not help any of the issues I was having beforehand, so we are doing a reconstructive decompression surgery as well as adding a prosthetic titanium mesh to my skull. With this surgery, we are entering my first incision on the back of my head. We are hoping for a better outcome as well as releasing the spinal fluid from my back so that my body stops decomposing, and I can hopefully live a more mobile life.

We are starting this GoFundMe, as we were told that not all medical expenses will be covered regarding my post-op and aftercare appointments won’t be covered past a certain date. With the surgery, I will be out of work until January 2026. With that being said, medical expenses, our bills, and other expenses with everyday life will possibly fall a little behind. We are asking for some help to alleviate the stress so I can focus on making sure that I am healing correctly and safely.
