If you’ve been in The Pups’ Palace lately, there’s a good chance you’ve met Louie, the lovable Shih Tzu hanging out behind the desk.
Louie has been battling glaucoma since February. Glaucoma is a progressive disease of the eyes that causes pain, discomfort, and blindness. There is no cure. In the early stages of his diagnosis, we were hopeful it could be managed with medications alone. However, other challenges presented themselves and the glaucoma proved more aggressive than originally anticipated. Now, the best thing for Louie is to have both eyes surgically removed to provide relief.
Louie belongs to Sydney, the heart behind The Pups’ Palace—someone who pours so much love into the pups in her care every day. Now, we have a chance to show that same love and support back to her and Louie when they need it most.
We are raising funds for our amazing boss and friend to cover the cost of Louie’s eye removal procedure, which is scheduled for the end of July. Every dollar helps ease his suffering and supports a small business owner who’s given so much to our community.
Please consider donating or sharing Louie’s story. He may not be able to see, but he’ll feel the love from everyone rooting for him.
