Palauan Community Relief for Lahaina, Maui

Alii and Aloha Family, Friends, and Friends of Palau,

We, the citizens of the Republic of Palau in the great State of

Hawaii, share our heartfelt condolences to the families who lost

their loved ones due to the fire disaster in Lahaina, Maui. The

residents of Lahaina have been devastated by an unexpected fire

that swept through the village and destroyed everything. This fire

disaster is the deadliest in U.S. history in more than a century and

has claimed at least 111 lives. The Lahaina residents are

struggling to find their family members and cope to access

assistance for basic necessities.

Our “Reng el Belau” compels us to assist during this fire recovery

crisis and help the displaced survivors alleviate their difficult

circumstances. Therefore, the present disastrous situation in Maui

has prompted the Palau Community of Hawaii, in collaboration

with the Consulate General of Palau, to provide monetary

assistance to the affected population of Lahaina through this

fundraising effort.

To accomplish this mission, we seek to raise at least $20,000.00

to directly assist individuals and families who are in dire need of

supplies, including food, water, clean clothes, hygienic products,

and other personal items, along with prayers.

We humbly ask you to participate in this fund drive with any

amount of donation you may give, and further encourage that you

kindly consider giving a pledge of $50, $100, or more. Thank you
