My name is Lorna. I was born in Jamaica, grew up in England, and returned to the land of my birth 30 years ago, where I now work as a Project Manager.

My life’s mantra has always been:

“Small acts of service can create a wave of change.”

That belief has guided everything I do. Over the years, much of my spare time has been devoted to giving back to the community — feeding persons living on the streets, providing financial and counselling support to families during the difficult COVID period, collecting and distributing laptops so children could continue home learning, and supporting worthy charitable events whenever possible.

Now, I’m reaching out for greater help. Jamaica has been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa, and so many people have lost almost everything. I’ve witnessed the devastation firsthand, and many of my friends and family are among those impacted.

The funds raised will go directly toward providing food, toiletries, and clothing to those most in need. These essentials may seem small, but they bring comfort, hope, and dignity to people facing unimaginable hardship.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help someone get through another day — and remind them that they are not alone.

Together, we can create that wave of change that Jamaica so desperately needs right now.
