Relief for Family of 8 After Villa Ridge Tornado

Donation protected
On Friday night, March 14th, 2025, an EF2 tornado touched down in Villa Ridge, Missouri. My sister-in-law Jen and her husband Kevin's home that they share with their 5 kids ages 3-13 and Jen's mother, was severely impacted by this tornado.
Most of the home's roof was ripped off, compromising its structural integrity and allowing rainwater to enter and damage the interior of the home.
Many trees were uprooted or downed, including 250 year old Champion sugarberry tree, nicknamed "Sugar."
Part of the deck was destroyed when a paddleboat that was tied to a tree by the pond was picked up by the winds and thrown through one of the main deck supports.
One vehicle was crushed by a tree and totaled, and two other vehicles have damaged windows.
The kids' wooden playground set was torn to pieces and thrown all over the yard.
A wall in the garage was blown out.
A shed was blown across the yard and destroyed, and all that was in it is destroyed or missing.
14 solar panels were destroyed.

It is truly a miracle, for which everyone is incredibly grateful, that through all of this destruction and devastation, not one person or pet was physically harmed. But this family has traumatically lost their home, their sense of security, the children's sense of routine, and many parts of their property that were near and dear to their hearts.
The family is being temporarily housed in a hotel while they navigate the chaos that comes after the storm, and will likely not be able to return to their home as they knew it. As the structure of the home has been compromised long-term, they will likely need to tear down and rebuild.
So much has already been given and been done by friends and family and even strangers, and for that the family is immensely grateful. But there is still a long road ahead.
GoFundMe requires that you set a monetary goal, but there is no way of knowing for certain what they will need. What we are asking for is the means to give the children a safe place to stay that is within their school district, and the cost of daily expenses covered while the parents are on leave from work so they can handle the aftermath of this tragedy. Any amount given beyond their needs will be paid forward.
