On a day that began like any other, my entire world was shattered. While I was at work, I received a call from my mother—one that changed my life in an instant. Our barn was on fire. Through tears, the only words she could get out were, “I’m so sorry… all of your goats are already gone. I tried to save the horses too, but it was too late.”

In just a few minutes, everything that gave my life purpose and joy was taken.

Every single one of my beloved goats—my daily inspiration, my passion, my pride—was lost. Two of our cherished show horses were also taken from us. The barn, the hay, our machinery, tack, feed, equipment… everything burned. The sight of what remained is something that will stay with me forever. My heart feels hollow, and the grief is simply overwhelming.

Yesterday, I spent the entire day loving on each and every one of my babies. I had no idea it would be the last time I’d ever hold them, talk to them, or tell them how much they meant to me. They were my reason to get up each morning, my peace, my purpose—and losing them so suddenly has left me devastated beyond words.

I’m not posting this because I expect anything. But so many people have asked how they can help, and the truth is… we are starting from absolutely nothing. Any support—no matter how small—would mean more than I could ever express. Funds will go toward rebuilding the barn, replacing lost equipment, supporting the surviving animals, and slowly trying to rebuild the life and dreams that went up in flames.
