UPDATE 4/25/2022: After the Caldor fire my mother left to Indiana early December 2021 to spend time with family. she spent time buying new items to start her life over, she was given items from family members and purchased antiques  to decorate her new home once it is re-built. she bought a new truck to drive back home. she rented a 5x8 U-haul trailer to store her belongings to bring back to California. she was on her way back and stopped in Salt Lake City and stayed at the Ramada Inn by the airport for the night because she felt safe there. She woke up on her wedding anniversary to find her trailer was missing! it was stolen from the back of her truck, on top of that her birthday was the next day. All that time and money she spent on trying to start her life over was taken from her AGAIN! She cannot catch a break and really needs help to boost her spirits and start over ALL OVER AGAIN! There have not been any updates and her stuff has not been found.

My name is Jessica and I am asking for help for my mother and step dad, they have been evacuated from their home in Grizzy Flats due to the devastating Caldor Fire that has swept through their hometown and there are so many unknowns. They were unable to find their cat of 12 years before they left and they are so saddened she was left behind. My mom has such a kind heart and many friends that she calls family and would do anything to help those in need. I am asking for help for them to be able to survive until they know what their next step is.
