PLEASE HELP THE CHAVEZ FAMILY! The family lost their home of 15 years today burned down by a fire that started in their apartment complex. They lost everything, the Chavez's don't have any near by relatives as most of their family are from Jalisco, Mexico, or sadly passed. They didn't have much as they lived far from their childhood homes, and short of relatives but what they did have meant a lot. The Chavez family is a family of four, the oldest son newly living away and now will bare the hardships of getting his parents and younger brother back on their feet. Mr. Chavez served as a Los Angeles County sheriff, but suffered an injury on the job forcing him to part from his loved career. Mr.Chavez is the main source of income for his wife, and young son. The youngest son is a dean listed college student studying mechanical engineering at Cal Poly Pomona lost all of his school material, and devices that kept him in school. Without these devices, and books finishing the school year for this online curriculum isn't promising. The family is HIGHLY admired in the community, all of them are described as hardworking, friendly, giving, and very caring people opening their home with open arms to anyone. Words can't describe the impact this family made on others, and the contributions they made. This family is suffering the lost of decades of family pictures, hand written journals, handcrafted gifts, and other irreplaceable items. Sadly, this is the second home the family lost. The first being losing a financial battle in the 2008 Recession forcing them to move out of their home as many others during the time and now completely losing their home and belongings. A disaster that came quick, and not readily from the hardships already during this pandemic. ANYTHING HELPS relief stress from this strong family. Any contribution will help the Chavez family get started on finding a new home and recover from a disaster no one could've expected..Organizer and beneficiary
