Our brother-in-laws, Bryce and Brendan, lost everything in the Palisades Fire – not only the home they’ve poured their literal blood, sweat, and tears into, but also Brendan’s art studio which housed his body of work, some dating back to high school. As the hills around them became engulfed in flames, they packed their car, grabbed their pups, and evacuated as quickly as possible. Frantic to get to safety, they had to leave everything behind.
They are the first to pitch in and lend a hand to anyone in need and now it’s our chance to repay that kindness and help bring some joy back to their lives. This is now the second wildfire loss that Bryce has had to endure in his lifetime, having also lost a family home in the Oakland Hills Fire. As they begin to process this horrible tragedy and start planning for the long road ahead, I’m hoping our community can help rally around them at a time when they need it most.
Bryce and Brendan are struggling with accepting help and even now, their focus remains on community and ensuring others are safe. But with the fire and a recent job loss, the reality of their financial strain looms heavily. We hope this gift from their loved ones will lift their spirits and provide some comfort.
Photos can be a bit triggering, so to comply with GoFundMe's mandatory rule, I've included one from happier times. Any messages of encouragement and support are greatly appreciated here. Your kind words have been much appreciated during this time. Thank you!
