I’m asking for help for my dog, Berto.

For the past three years, he’s been dealing with an ongoing condition that keeps coming back—each time worse than before. We’ve taken him to multiple vets. He’ll improve for a while, and then everything returns, more intense and harder on him.

His hair is falling out, his skin is covered in rashes, and he can’t stop licking and scratching himself. Now he also has an ear infection and an eye infection. Recently, he’s been throwing up his food and barely wants to eat.

We’ve tried everything we can think of. We’ve washed all his beds, sheets, and even our sofa covers. We got rid of rugs in case they were triggering his allergies. We’ve bought medicated shampoos that seem to help for a wash or two—but then it all comes back. He eats salmon-based dry food, and still, nothing seems to make a lasting difference.

What hurts the most is seeing how much this has changed him. He used to be playful and full of energy—now he doesn’t even want to go outside. He just looks uncomfortable, tired, and honestly… defeated.

I want to commit to treating him consistently for the next six months so he can finally have a real chance at healing and feeling like himself again. That means ongoing vet visits, testing, medication, and proper care without interruption.

I can’t do it alone right now, and that’s why I’m asking for help. If you’re able to donate or even just share this, it would mean so much to me—and to Berto.

He deserves relief. He deserves to feel okay again.

Estoy pidiendo ayuda por mi perro, Berto.

Durante los últimos tres años, ha estado luchando con una condición que sigue regresando—y cada vez vuelve peor. Lo hemos llevado a múltiples veterinarios. Mejora por un tiempo, pero luego todo regresa, más fuerte y más difícil para él.

Se le está cayendo el pelo, tiene la piel llena de sarpullidos , y no puede dejar de lamerse ni rascarse. Ahora también tiene una infección en el oído y otra en el ojo. Recientemente ha estado vomitando su comida y casi no quiere comer.

Hemos intentado todo lo que se nos ocurre. Hemos lavado sus camas, sábanas y hasta las cubiertas del sofá. Nos deshicimos de las alfombras por si estaban provocando sus alergias. Hemos comprado shampoo medicados que parecen ayudar uno o dos baños… pero luego todo vuelve. Come alimento seco a base de salmón y aun así nada parece darle una mejoría duradera.

Lo que más duele es ver cuánto ha cambiado. Antes era juguetón y lleno de energía—ahora ni siquiera quiere salir afuera. Se le ve incómodo, cansado y, honestamente… apagado.

Quiero comprometerme a tratarlo de manera constante durante seis meses para darle una verdadera oportunidad de sanar y volver a ser él mismo. Eso significa visitas continuas al veterinario, estudios, medicamentos y cuidados adecuados sin interrupciones.

Ahora mismo no puedo hacerlo sola, y por eso estoy pidiendo ayuda. Si puedes donar o incluso compartir esta publicación, significaría muchísimo para mí… y para Berto.

Él merece alivio. Merece volver a sentirse bien.
