This is the official GoFundMe to provide relief for our dear friend Ann Messina.

You may have heard that Ann was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. She has undergone 3 grueling rounds of chemo and 2 very painful sessions of radiation. Unfortunately, all of these treatments have been unsuccessful and she remains in substantial pain. That said, she is a fighter and will not give up. Her doctors are trying alternative therapies.

We all love Ann for her fierce and loyal spirit. She is like family to so many of us and our community is better for it. Ann has developed so many beautiful relationships and given so much of her love and time to those who need and desire friendship. It is absolutely tragic to see someone as bubbly and strong-willed as Ann face such an ugly disease.

The effect of this illness and treatment have taken an unimaginable toll on her body and she is living in a pain that she does not deserve. She tries to work as much as possible not only to focus on other things but to maintain independence.

We can’t cure Ann, but we can help ease the financial burden and resultant stress that she is facing. We want Ann to spend as much of her free time with her loved ones as possible, with minimal financial concerns. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to offer her security, stability, and options and during this difficult time.
