My name is Ahmed Mohammed Ali Salama, a 43-year-old father desperately fighting for my family's survival. For nearly two years, my loved ones and I have faced unrelenting hunger and deprivation in Gaza. Today, I stand before you feeling utterly powerless.

Despite the dire lack of essentials like food and medicine, my wife, Iman Ismail Al-Aziz, 34 years old, recently gave birth to our son, Kareem, on July 8, 2025. My heart is filled with fear that our newborn is balancing on the brink of life and death. Our other children—Saba, four; Amir, three; and Mian, just one and a half—are suffering alongside us.

My oldest daughter, Farah, 18 years old, is pregnant and currently living with us due to a tragic circumstance. Her husband was shot and critically injured while seeking aid from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Every night, they go to bed with empty stomachs, writhing in pain as tears of hunger cloud their innocent faces. It breaks my heart to see them endure such agony. The crossings remain shut, and the markets are bare, offering only a fraction of food at prices I cannot afford, while even our drinking water is contaminated. I only seek the means to ensure their survival.

To compound my despair, I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, which cripples my joints and prevents me from working. I urgently need treatment that is only available abroad before this illness takes complete control of my life. I am simply asking for what is essential to save my family.

I urge you, please help save the lives of my four innocent children, whose only fault is being born into a reality of profound suffering. Your support can be the critical difference between life and a slow, excruciating death for them. I long for nothing more than to witness my children sleep peacefully one night, free from the torment of hunger. Let your kindness become our lifeline, as we strive to endure against all odds.
