you are receiving this note because you have traveled to Amorgos, Greece with me.

It has come to my attention that one of our beloved friends there, Ionnis (You may know him as John), the concierge at Aegialis, has faced a very difficult year and has been diagnosed with a debilitating and incurable medical condition. Ionnis has been instrumental in creating magical experiences for us as a group and for many of you individually.

His condition is not fatal, but it causes him tremendous pain and keeps him from doing the work that he loves. He is facing extreme financial difficulties as a result of lost work hours and the accumulation of medical expenses from a private clinic that offered his only hope for relief.

I'm hoping that as a community, we may be able to pull together to show our gratitude for his years of service and help ease his burden. All funds donated will go to relieving his financial liabilities and offering him at least some security moving forward as he navigates a difficult future.

please keep this communication confidential. He does not wish for the entire Amorgos community to know of his challenges, and he is very concerned about casting any spotlight on his employers at Aegialis. This plea is separate from the hotel and is only for him personally.
