Help Nepal Recover from Devastating Floods

On August 26, 2026, devastating flash floods swept through communities in Northern Nepal, leaving widespread destruction in their wake. Powerful floodwaters surged through the region, destroying homes, roads, bridges, and critical infrastructure. Rescue teams continue working to search for missing people and reach communities that have been cut off by the disaster, while families face unimaginable loss and uncertainty.

The hardest-hit areas include parts of Rasuwa and neighboring districts, where riverside communities have suffered significant damage. Authorities are still working to determine the full scale of the tragedy. Reports indicate that the flooding may have been triggered by a major collapse involving ice, rock, or a glacier upstream, causing a sudden and destructive surge of water through the Himalayan region.

Emergency responders, including Nepal's military and humanitarian organizations, have mobilized rescue operations and medical assistance as families face the heartbreaking aftermath of losing homes, livelihoods, and loved ones. As Nepal begins the long process of rescue and recovery, affected communities urgently need support.
