GET ME SAFELY OFF THE FREEWAY!

My 1999 Camry blew up in the middle of US 85 freeway in Greenville, SC. I was on a median strip with smoke billowing out of the engine and 18-wheelers buffeting past me. The mechanic who rescued me towed my car to his shop.

I am a 69 y/o woman with no savings. I live in a rural town in North Carolina with no public transportation. I work as a caregiver to support myself so I must have transportation.

The mechanic can either rebuild my engine or will sell me a healthy Honda for $5500. Although I have systemic lupus I still work hard and am of service to help seniors and those with dementia stay at home as long as possible.

Please help me get safe, reliable transportation to stay useful and working. I do not want to be a burden to my friends, but anything you can donate will help. Blessings to you for considering helping me.
