Good days and blessings to everyone! I am recently divorced and just moved back to the mainland. My housing situation and work opportunity weren’t properly described, and now I have been displaced for over three weeks sleeping behind commercial building and on abandoned sofas was not my dream of a fresh start in my 40s.
After reaching out to several shelters and “resources” I have been made aware of a great deficiency in our community’s programs and willingness to help those that are temporarily in need. I am still in need of housing for the next couple of weeks until my background check is finished with a pending job opportunity. The lack of housing and proper diet and necessities seems to be taking a toll. Beyond my personal struggle, it begs the question as to how we can help out others that have been at this much longer than me?
My need should only be temporary, but I have decided to make it a long term mission to create solutions because none of us were meant to live a life like this.
Any contribution is truly a blessing.
With love and light~
Jamie
