Help Gena's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Diamond and I am fundraising for my mom Gena who was diagnosed with lung cancer. I am her MPOA/provider/caregiver/advocate/etc. I do not get paid to be my mom's caregiver. The insurance does now allow me to be compensated for anything. My mom does not have the money to hire a caregiver. I take care of my mom without pay. Therefore, I am unable to help with expenses as I take care of her.

We lost my dad/her husband about 5 years ago to lung cancer and words cannot describe how much he is missed. Not a day goes by that I don't think of or miss my dad. I don't want to lose another parent.

Gena was diagnosed with "non-small cell lung carcinoma consistent with adenocarcinoma" and will need to undergo targeted therapy/chemo treatments. Mutation of gene EGFR.

Gena is legally disabled and therefore on a fixed income, which makes it difficult for her to afford doctors appointments along with tests and procedures. Due to these necessary appointments, tests, and procedures, my mom has a hard time affording groceries and necessities.

Your donations would help with all things medical such as scans (PET/CT/MRI, ECHO, etc), procedures (bronchoscopy, open lung biopsy, etc), doctors appointments, medications, and gas to get to the doctors appointments.

Gena has a difficult journey ahead but with the help of you and others she stands a chance at defeating lung cancer.
