Let’s help Michael get back on his feet!
Michael Strome. Son, father, brother, uncle, partner.
Michael is one of the kindest men you would have the good fortune to meet. He is a great father to his only child and you will almost never catch the two without a soccer ball in play! Michael has a wonderful heart and a kind soul. If his sisters call he is there to help ,no questions asked , any time of the day or night.
That almost all changed on Thursday nightwhile walking home from the store.Michael was hit by a car which left the scene ,leaving Michael unconscious on the road . When Michael did not arrive home or answer his phone, his partner Lana went looking for him. She saw the lights of police, ambulance and fire trucks and ran to them. She will never forget what she saw that night and I will never forget her panicked, terrified call at midnight.
We were both helpless, her not knowing where the ambulance was taking him and unsure of his condition and me, his mom in BC , feeling helpless. It was a very long night.
The accident has left Michael with multiple injuries. A traumatic brain injury (concussion and brain bleed), fractured cheekbone, fractured eye socket, stitches and very bad road rash along the left side of his body.
Gratefully, Michael survived and that’s what’s important. However, it’s going to be a long recovery, back to his old fun self and that soccer playing dad.
Now the really worrisome news. Michael runs his own small company in construction and was able to work with his partner Lana . Things have been on the slower side because of COVID , so the two of them have not been able to save a lot. Now, with Michael not able to work and Lana by his side taking care of him, bills will soon be piling up with no income or Insurance to rely on. The police are still investigating.
Anything you can do will help. That’s the reason I am asking for any contribution you feel able to make on this” Go Fund Me“ page.
To help me get the word out, please share my link to your Facebook Timeline!
Thank you for any help you can manage to get my son back on his feet ,as he recovers from this horrific accident.
Sincerely,
Tracy Neville
