Dear Friends & Supporters,
(Check out Ms. Ojay - Rejoice, Appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show)
I’m excited to share that I’ve secured a holiday location as I continue rebuilding and reviving our beloved community bookstore that opened during COVID (2021) and is a self-funded by the Owner, Ms. Ojay Jones. This is a step forward — but I can’t do it alone.
I am working to raise an additional $3,000 by November 10th to open and sustain our holiday community space. That will bring this fundraiser total to $3500 to meet the current goal.
This location will allow us to:
Bring books directly to families during the busiest reading & shopping season of the year
Keep our bookstore visible and thriving while we work toward our Bookmobile and a permanent storefront
Create meaningful community connections through events, literacy programs, and local outreach.
For the past few years, I have poured my personal savings into keeping Rejoice Books alive. We’ve received no traditional business support, but with faith, hard work, and community love, we’ve made it this far. Now, I’m asking for your help to take the next big step.
Please consider donating $25 — and ask 3 friends to do the same. Together, that ripple effect can help us reach our goal and beyond.
Our bookstore has been recognized and loved by our community:
Best in Gwinnett winner for 3 years straight — right alongside Barnes & Noble — and nominated again for Year 4.
Neighborhood Fave on Nextdoor 2 years in a row, nominated for a 3rd.
This isn’t just a business — it’s a community movement. As Jennifer Hudson said on her show in January 2025, Rejoice Books is a business for the community… and now, the community’s support can help us move forward.
This goal date is November 10th for the Holiday Space.
Every dollar brings us closer to a thriving holiday space and our long-term vision: a Bookmobile and a new permanent community bookstore.
Let’s stand together this holiday season and keep this mission alive.
With gratitude and determination,
Ms. Ojay ✨
