If you know me, you know that my cat, Nova, means the world to me. I adopted her as a kitten in 2019 and we have both grown up together. Ever since I found her, she has been my best friend and to this day the sweetest cat I have ever known.

A few days ago, I noticed she was breathing a little bit differently, and brought her to the emergency room. There, the doctors discovered her lungs were surrounded with a fluid called Chyle, which had leaked out from her lymphatic system. With further investigation, it was discovered she has a large tumor in her chest and another in her neck, that are pressing against her organs. Testing is still being done, but it is confirmed that she has cancer, and will require further treatment, most likely chemotherapy. She is currently still hospitalized as she is being stabilized and a treatment plan is created.

Unfortunately, this hospitalization has been extremely expensive, even with pet insurance, not to mention the costs of treatment. This has caused me major financial stress, and I have to also consider the possibility of not treating it due to the involved costs. Although I typically don't do this kind of thing, this situation calls me to reach towards my community first and ask for help. Any small amount towards her treatment will be much appreciated and go further than you may think.
