Dear Coach Bill Supporters,

Why are we asking you to take action today? Do we stand by and say “oh well," or do we take a stand for what's right? What you have witnessed, first-hand is a grave injustice that cannot be ignored.

This is not the end, but the beginning. The Katonah Lewisboro School Board and its Superintendent need to be held accountable and removed from their positions. They have exposed themselves on multiple fronts and it’s time to act. We are assembling a legal team of top Education and HR lawyers, as well as gaining access to many lawyers whose children Coach Bill has coached and who have offered their legal acumen.

This could be a landmark opportunity to help all the teachers, coaches, or school personnel that are being unjustly fired, suspended, or harassed based on meritless, frivolous claims against them.

This has to STOP, and we are in a position to do just that! These valued educators are now having to work in schools where they are having to constantly look over their shoulders and watch their backs, because if they say or do something that someone, anyone, finds “objectionable” they are now being dismissed with no due process. Employers are not protecting them, but are just being cast aside.

What an awful learning environment to teach or coach in. Schools like ours are facing a dramatic coaching shortage. Why is that? We are now being forced to raise a generation of unemotional, passionless, and lifeless "robots"... look around and you can see the results of that strategy.

The Swertfager family is going to use its own resources to fight this wrong, but it will not be enough. Therefore, we have set up this GOFUNDME account to help pay for the upcoming legal expenses.

Please, if it can happen to Coach Bill, who is as respected, admired, beloved, and cherished by his community...it can happen to YOU or someone you care about.

Remember, Coach Bill brings 40 years of dedicated service, enthusiasm, and passion to his position EACH day! Yet, today, this incredibly sad day, he is left to fight for his Coaching job, something he truly loves to do. He has positively impacted thousands of student-athletes over his highly celebrated Coaching career. Our so-called Leaders have dismissed a man our Community needs and want as a continued positive influence and incredible role model for our kids.
