Help Reilly Take the Leap to College and Volleyball!

Hi, I’m Reilly Ann Mendez—a proud graduate of Los Gatos HS and an incoming freshman at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania! This fall, I’ll be making a huge leap: moving across the country to study pre health on the nursing track to achieve my goal of being a pediatric nurse, while competing on the women’s Division III volleyball team.

My long-term dream? To become a nurse like my two grandmothers (Peg & Dorothy) and make a real, hands-on difference in the world.

Allegheny captured my heart with its strong academics, amazing athletics, and small, tight-knit community—believe it or not, it’s actually half the size of my high school! I’m beyond excited (and yes, a little nervous) to trade sunny California for snowy Meadville. But I know that getting out of my comfort zone is the first step to growing into the person I want to be.

Although I’ve been awarded a generous scholarship, it doesn’t cover all of the expenses—tuition, travel, books. Right now, I’m working two jobs to help close the gap, but I could use a little extra support to make this dream a reality.
