REIGNBOW ROOM: Personal Selfie Museum Experience

Donation protected
Reignbow Room is Philly's newest selfie museum and content house that kicks you with color and punches you with joy.

Rainbow walls, pop culture references, interactive art, and hidden passages are just a few exciting treats this playful indoor world has in store for its visitors. This intimate hidden gem is the perfect place for photo lovers and content creators to do what they love to do, create! Reignbow Rooms provides a safe place to snap goofy, whimsical, and magical pics free of photo bombers and strangers in the background. This line-free process and appointment-only method will give visitors quick and easy access and the freedom to roam the space at their own pace. By only allowing private tours Reignbow Room will create an environment that encourages everyone to embrace their inner kid and find the silliness in the moment. It's a fun zone for adults. And of course, it wouldn't be fun without a ball pit!

This colorful creative wormhole is meant to add a little more color to our already colorful city. Whether you're looking to create cool new content, plan an unique Friday night date night, or do something out of the ordinary with some close friends, Reignbow Room has the personality of a kaleidoscope and can totally handle it. It's more than a selfie museum it's a personal playground and world full of fun!

WHY NOW?

It's always the right time to add a little more color and joy to the world. But in all honesty, we all could use a little more sparkle and fun these days. Art is cathartic and laughter is contagious and when we mix those ingredients into a photo or even into a selfie we are capturing one of the better moments of these difficult times. So when we think back on gloomy and tough days we have a something to smile about.

ABOUT ME

I've been an artist my entire life, but in 2017 I rebranded myself as a Colorful Content Creator. I fell in love with playing dress up, building my own sets, and creating my own world that I could live in when I needed an escape. God had granted me the courage to change the things I could and this was the way I did it.

In 2016 I graduated from the University of the Arts and immediately hopped into creating my first public installation Building a World: But Building a World for Women. "Drawing from various media like crafting, poetry, and movement, BUILDING A WORLD, BUT BUILDING A WORLD FOR WOMEN transcends being defined as one form of art, and blends its different components together to create an experience sure to enlighten and inspire." Phindie.Com called it a "feminist utopian artscape."

After interviewing 100 women I took their words and created a world just for them. I divided this one room installation into four sections where it featured a vagina cave, boob mounds, tampon vines, a river made of blue hair, and even an interactive station where you could put on headphones and listen to the 100 women who I voice recorded during our interview. Little did I know five years later I would set out to create another world. This time, one full of rainbows and one for made for everyone.

For the past five years I've been balancing being a full time middle school performing arts teacher, and a full-time-whenever-I-can content creator and artist. Some of my favorite home installations that I've created includes BORN to be WiLD featured on the Official UNO Instagram page, Black is Art, and Plot Twist, I'm Cupid! When I'm not teaching, dressing up, or building an installation... I'm finding colorful places in the city to snap a cute pic, or telling a story with a costume, prop, an authentic philly backdrop, and my trusty old android phone. Overtime, my amazing instagram and social media supporters became Reignbow Rebels, and thus was born Reignbow Nation! It's only fitting that the name of our Kingdom be called Reignbow Room.

There's no better time to add color and joy to the world. I'm so excited and endlessly thankful to all who help me spread both of these things in a much bigger and dynamic way.

Risks and challenges
Like all recreational projects, the greatest risk and challenge today is remaining safe and taking proper COVID-19 precautions. This is why Reignbow Room's privately reserved method is so important. In addition to limiting admission to one party, Reignbow Room will be sanitized between visits and encourage visitors to wear a mask and or face covering.
