A Memorial Fund for Reid Alan Cox

This GoFundMe memorial is in honor of the memory of Reid Alan Cox, 50, of Mesa, AZ.

Reid was diagnosed with a cancer of unknown origin in December 2022. After many attempts to determine the origin of his condition, he was formally diagnosed in February/March 2023 with cholangiocarcinoma. This is a rare form of cancer that affects the bile ducts. It presented as a tumor in his liver and metastasized to one of his kidneys. Reid immediately began aggressive chemotherapy treatment but he succumbed to his disease on August 27, 2023.

Reid is survived in Indiana by his mother, Carol, his brother Mark, Mark's wife Courtney, his nephew Gallagher, and his niece Mili. He is also survived by his beloved companion, Kodály, a boisterous and loving Cane Corso. Kodály has found a loving home with two other large dogs to wrestle and play with. Kodály, incidently, was named for Zoltan Kodály, a favorite composer and musical educator of Reid's.

In honor of Reid's passing, we are starting this campaign with a goal of raising money for the Metropolitan Youth Symphony of Arizona, Paws4Life of Arizona, and the McClintock High School Choir/Orchestra.
